- When you reach Droknar’s Forge,
armor. Investing in chest, legs, and head armor first is advisable, though you won’t want to leave your hands and feet unprotected for too much longer, either. Once you have a full set of this armor, outfit it freely with runes and insignias. Once you’ve saved up a lot more money, you can start thinking about “elite” armor (the prettier, more prestigious-looking armor which is, nevertheless, no more effective
you’ll be able to buy the strongest armor for your class. Do so, and feel free to fill it up with all of the runes and insignias you need.
- Once you have a lot of money on
your hands (more than 15k, at least) you can start looking into purchasing “elite” armor, which isn’t any stronger than what you already have, but looks more prestigious. The outposts of Granite Citadel and Marhan’s Grotto (both near Droknar’s Forge) are where you will need to go for that.
- Some of the “elite” 15k armor from
Factions becomes available in the Luxon and Kurzick capital cities, Cavalon and House zu Heltzer, respectively, and can only be purchased if your current unspent faction points with that group are higher than your faction points for the other.
Factions:
- Due to the fast-paced nature of the
early part of the Factions campaign, you should be able to make it through all of the quests and missions on Shing Jea Island using just your starting armor. Exception: If your profession forces you to fight near the enemies (warrior or assassin, for example), investing in chest and leg armor from Shing Jea Monastery will be worthwhile, since these spots are the most likely to be hit in typical combat situations.
- The other “elite” armor from Factions
is available from crafters in the Divine Path explorable area, which you will end up in after completing the final mission of the campaign. It has no other special requirements for purchasing.
- Once you reach Kaineng Center,
you’ll have access to crafters who can make the strongest armor. If you’ve been saving your gold and materials (or if you have a stock of them in storage from one of your Prophecies characters), this will be a good time to get a full set of new
